The property is in Powell County, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of western Montana.

The nearest town is Elliston, Montana which is on US highway 12 about 10 miles from the cabin. Elliston has a U. S. Post Office, a small grocery store, the local watering hole, and a restaurant. Elliston is located on the Little Blackfoot River ("A River Ran Through" fame) and the trout fishing in this area is excellent.
